Don's Wartime Memories
Photo of Don
Don was a Bedfordshire schoolboy during the second world war. In these video clips he tells of seeing bombers flying overhead on their way to and from bombing targets as well as providing an insight into daily life for all those living on the Home Front during hostilities - everyday things like rationing, sweets, wearing gas masks during practices and the street parties that took place on VE (Victory in Europe) day.
